Project Scope:

UnitedThis project, performed as a subcontractor to Pepper Construction Co., installed a freight and mail material handling system as part of the construction of a new cargo facility. After temporary power and lighting were established, and the manholes and handholes were established, installation of the new system began. New service, switchboards, panelboards, transformers, and feeders (for the fire pump and controller), as well as a transient voltage suppressor system (TVSS) were included. The system integrated a large emergency generator, as well.

The scope of work also included the installation of a mass notification fire alarm system, an intrusion detection system, and a voice/data system. Lighting fixtures/lamps and controls included all exit and emergency lighting, exterior wall-mounted fixtures, and site lighting. Power, final connections, starters, and disconnects to all mechanical equipment were provided, all electrical grounding and firestopping was assured, and testing/certification was performed before the project was completed.
