Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain- BEI Renovation Project 1995
The University includes LED lighting throughout the entire building and a Lutron lighting control system based on occupancy and pre-established programmed lighting levels. The service to the building is supplied by Northwestern’s 15KV power distribution. The building includes a DAS system, copper and fiber backbone infrastructure, security, and CCTV systems.
The Siemens fire alarm system interfaces to the existing Simplex Campus Mass Notification System and has flat panel monitor graphic display at the building main entrance. Residential level lounges are two-story spaces with views of Lake Michigan. A multipurpose room will host special events, faculty talks and student meetings. Construction is occurring adjacent to active, occupied buildings, and is due to be completed in time for the 2017 school year.
