Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain- BEI Renovation Project 1995
As part of a larger program of renovations for life safety compliance, the fire alarm system equipment within the administration building and each of the facility's 12 pavilions was replaced, reusing limited equipment in isolated areas in which it had recently been updated. The facility remained operational during construction.
Most of the existing devices were concealed within ceiling soffits. All of the new work was similarly installed. Major equipment included the following:
The system also includes remote test stations, a relay module to recall the elevator, and monitor modules for interfacing with existing water flow and valve supervisory switches. The system includes both horns and strobes in order to comply with ADA. The entire system complies with NFPA 101 and NFPA 72. The scope of work included programming the system.
