Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain- BEI Renovation Project 1995
For this 28-story, 900,000 square foot project, Broadway installed low voltage electrical systems and the associated conduit to support new fire alarm and communication systems. The electrical circuit design ensured that an isolated short or localized fire could not disable the system or any individual area. The project included installation of new signal line circuits (SLC), notification appliance circuits (NAC), and carbon monoxide detectors. Broadway provided control monitoring points for the existing fire pump controllers, transfer switches, existing deluge system, Ansul system in the kitchen, and a pre-action fire sprinkler system. During construction, the existing alarm system remained fully functional until final commissioning and acceptance of the newly installed system.
